Movement is a Swiss brand whose roots go back to 1980, when three friends founded the "Wild Duck" snowboard brand.The story lasted twenty years and left the mark of a brand driven by the spirit of creation, successfully establishing and maintaining itself in North America and Japan.

The renaissance of skiing at the end of the 1990s led the company to a new technological and industrial evolution with the development of Movement skis in parallel with snowboards.Movement was founded in 2000 and, as in the early days of snowboarding, was confronted with a huge, untouched piste.Everything had to be invented.The second ski revolution was in full swing: that of freeride and wider skis better adapted to natural snow conditions; that of freestyle and the race for tricks and park; that of touring skis and the associated madness of weight loss.

With twenty years of experience in snowboarding and, in particular, avant-garde research in the carving sector, Movement has positioned itself from the outset as an innovative brand that has not shied away from making novel design choices.In 2005, the brand reaffirmed and consolidated its independence by acquiring its own production facility, the AST Ski Factory. Thanks to this mastery of the production chain, the creative and boldly innovative spirit of the early days was able to flourish.

Today, this freedom is reflected in the decision to be "freetouring-compatible", i.e. to build skis that are no longer just suitable for skiing downhill, but also for travelling independently in the mountains.The goal is the same, namely to glide happily down an inclined surface.But the choice of movement to reach the slope is now completely free.
